Close your eyes and imagine yourself in the midst of a merrily mellow group of isolated emigrées, well into a party in a rural village in the Odenwald (near the Black Forest), some 40+ years ago.
Now picture two buffoons, one of whom was Frans de Dreu, the other me, with lampshades on their heads, miming with great expression to the dialogue below, eminating from a tape player hidden behind the sofa.
Enormously amusing at the time. But maybe you just had to be there.
